It is Brit Jacobs' birthday today and I just have to first off thank him for his great service to this country. He is a combat medic in the Army, and was in Afghanistan from April of 2010 to May of 2011. I will forever cherish the memories that we have had with him visiting us here in California. He came to visit us with his sweet little boy Johnny, in January when he was on a short leave. He then came to visit us when he got back from Afghanistan in May. He is one of the most spiritual and kind people I know, and I have learned a lot from him. He has been working on putting together footage while he was in Afghanistan and shared those videos, pictures, and stories with us. No one truly understands what it is like over there, unless you've been there of course, and no one realizes how bad it really is. Please, keep our servicemen and women in your prayers everyday! Brit, I know I don't know you TO well, but I am proud to say you are family. I hope you have a wonderful birthday, and know that you are always in our prayers. Here is a youtube video that I found and the footage is what Brit shot while in Afghanistan, it's truly amazing.

So it's been quite the crazy week so I didn't get a chance to update my blog on our first year anniversary. August 21st! I honestly cannot believe it has been one year since we got married. I feel so lucky to have Cameron in my life, and know I could not have chosen anyone better for my eternal companion. I cannot wait for this week, September 2, 2011, to be sealed to him for time and all eternity. The temple is such a wonderful place, and I felt the spirit so strong there when I went through for the first time this weekend. I am so thankful for all the family that was there to support me, and it was such a special weekend. I also received my patriarchal blessing which was so powerful. I cannot wait to have the original copy and read it often.
Anyways, Cameron Benjamin Jacobs is the love of my life, and I am so thankful for the constant joy, happiness, and laughter he brings me, and the constant love he shows me:)
I forgot to post something back on July 15th, and just came across some pictures while going through my phone. I am lucky enough to have 2 sisters that live 10 minutes away from me. My sister Maren who lives in Utah came to visit for 10 days and I took the day off work so we could spend a whole "Sister Day" together. We did lots of Goodwill shopping, got pedicures and manicures, went to the mall, and had a delicious dinner. We also got professional pictures taken with all 4 of us girls together. It was such a blast! I love my sisters so much, and we are way too goofy when we all get together. We didn't have make up on by the end of the night due to all the "laughing so hard you cry" moments. These pictures are some exact examples of this. We are kind of awkward. Haha. What a fun day!
We were recently married on August 21, 2010
We started this blog as more of a journal
for us to look back at all the good times.
No matter what life brings us we are in
this together and we couldn't be more
happy about it. We are better together.
